Our Homestead Starter Mix chicks are perfect for those looking to start or grow a backyard flock with variety, personality, and true homestead charm. These chicks come from our mixed flock and are intentionally offered as mixed-breed birds.
Chicks are hatched from hens running under our Lavender Orpington and French Wheaten Marans roosters, resulting in a fun assortment of genetics. Feather color, adult size, temperament, and future egg color will vary, making each hatch a unique and exciting surprise.
This mix is ideal for beginners, families, and anyone who enjoys a hardy, diverse flock without the need for specific breed traits.
